PLANO, TEXAS, October 30, 2007 – There were more Adams Golf hybrids put in play by the pros on the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours last week than any other manufacturer, according to the Darrell Survey. Adams Golf hybrids ranked #1 at the Ginn sur Mer Classic, the Charles Schwab Cup Championship and the Miccosukee Championship. This marks the 14th time in 2007 that the company has won the #1 hybrid rankings on all three major tours in the same week, a distinction no other hybrid manufacturer can claim.
At the Ginn sur Mer Classic at Tesoro, Adams Golf hybrids accounted for over 29% of all the hybrids in play. In fact, two Top 10 finishers both had Idea Pro Hybrids in their bags. This was the sixth consecutive PGA TOUR event that Adams Golf has topped the hybrid count, making it the outright hybrid leader of the PGA TOUR's Fall Series.
According to Darrell Survey data, a total of 4,436 Adams Golf hybrids have been put in play this year by PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tour pros, compared to 2,311 of the nearest competitor's hybrids.
"We're finishing the golf season just like we started it, with the hottest hybrids in golf," said Max Puglielli, director of tour operations for Adams Golf. "When you look at the significant number of our hybrids put in play this year compared to the other companies, big and small, there's no question whose hybrids are preferred by more of the best players in the world."
Champions Tour
Not only did Adams claim the #1 hybrid at the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship, the company also ranked #1 in the overall woods count and the fairway wood count.
Nationwide Tour
Adams won its 42nd consecutive hybrid count, dating back to August 2006. Last week's Nationwide Tour champion carried two Idea Pro hybrids in his bag en route to his breakthrough victory that punched his ticket for the PGA TOUR in 2008.
