Cobra Golf Introduces New 2008 King Cobra S9 Irons

Advanced multi-material technology for maximum forgiveness, accuracy and distance

CARLSBAD, CA (February 8, 2008) – Cobra Golf unveils technologically advanced tools for game improvement in the new multi-material King Cobra S9™ Irons. Building on the successful previous generation, the new S9 Irons for 2008 are designed to deliver maximum accuracy, distance and feel.

"The Cobra S9 Irons enjoyed great success in 2007 and we're committed to building on that success with the new and improved S9," said Jeff Harmet, President, Cobra Golf and Titleist Clubs. "Players who desire the combination of accuracy, forgiveness and feel will benefit from the multi-material construction, lower center of gravity and higher MOI of the new S9 Irons."

"The Cobra R&D team expanded the exclusive polymer topline to allow for a significant shift in discretionary weight, which we Imageused to enhance the perimeter weighting of the club and lower the center of gravity for greater forgiveness and optimized trajectory," said Scott Rice, Director of Cobra Golf Research and Development. "In addition, the sole design was enhanced with the new center relief geometry, for even more consistent ball contact in all conditions – fairway, rough, sand and greenside."

S9 TECHNOLOGY

Cobra engineers' 2008 developments made the award-winning S9 Irons even better. The all-new multi-material design features an expanded three- piece polymer topline and urethane sole insert to optimize discretionary weighting for a lower CG and higher MOI. Combine that with the club's low profile and wide sole with a chamfer relief design and golfers can expect maximum versatility and more forgiveness.

· Wide-Sole, Low-Profile Head Design: Extreme low, back CG and high MOI for high launch, greater distance and maximum forgiveness.

· Three-Piece Polymer Topline: Lightweight polymer in the topline allows for 13 grams of weight to be redistributed lower in the heel and toe – for an extreme low-and-back CG and enhanced feel.

· Back Cavity Plate, Urethane Insert: Along with the polymer topline, these technologies enhance feel, while the lightweight urethane insert allows for 10-20 grams of weight to be redistributed to the heel and toe to maximize MOI.

· Premium Graphite Design YS or Nippon N.S. Pro Shafts: Promote higher launch, greater control and accuracy.

King Cobra S9 irons are available in men's graphite and steel shafts (4-GW) and women's and seniors graphite shafts (5-SW). S9 sets will begin shipping February 8 with a suggested retail price of $960 (graphite) and $840 (steel) per set.
