Tiger Shark?s Optix gets called up to play on PGA Tour

Tiger Shark has taken their Optix putter into the biggest arena in golf, the PGA Tour and is winning over converts. Already a former U.S. Open and a former Players Championship winner have had putters customized for them and voices of approval of the putter and the system have been unanimous.

“We feel confident that the Optix putter will be a winner on Tour,” said Tiger Shark President Dean Dingman. “To make this happen we arranged to have Ralph Todd representing us on Tour. He was a long time Tour representative for Tommy Armour and McGregor golf companies and has served as a PGA Tour player consultant for many years. We’re sure that we’ll be seeing the Optix in a lot of PGA Tour player’s bags this year.” Image

Todd has found that the players have been enthusiastic in their praise of the Optix.

“I’m looking for feedback from PGA Tour players on how to possibly improve the performance of the Optix so it benefits the consumer,” said Todd. “Everyone who has tried the Optix believes the alignment features and benefits of the putters are a great concept.”

The Optix putters are spearheading what looks like is going to be a banner year for Tiger Shark Golf. Their bookings at the 2008 PGA Merchandise Show were significantly more than 2007 and it appears the first quarter will show a 30 to 40 percent increase over last years sales.

“The Optix and the Tour Optix putters certainly have taken off,” said Dingman, “but they’re solidly backed up by our Jumbo and Super Jumbo grips which has had sales off the charts. In addition, our Greenspeed and Great White putters continue to have great sell through.

Running ahead of 2007 sales from Jan. 1, it appears that 2008 will be another successful year for Tiger Shark Golf.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the way the year has started,” said Dingman, “and we’re extremely confident that golfers everywhere will find our equipment to be right for them.”
