CARLSBAD, Calif. (June 2, 2008) – TaylorMade-adidas Golf Tour Staff professional Kenny Perry won The Memorial for the third time and took a step closer to accomplishing his goal of playing in this year's Ryder Cup Matches, set to be held in at Valhalla Country Club in his home state of Kentucky.
Perry, who has been a fixture atop PGA Tour leader boards for the past three weeks, relied on the power and accuracy of his new Tour Burner® driver to help him post an 8-under par effort with rounds of 66-71-74-69 to win and move into fifth place on the U.S. Ryder Cup points list.
Averaging nearly 290 yards per tee shot, Perry nailed 82% of his fairways (T9) which enabled him to find 66% of greens in regulation (T7).*
