DENVER, – Golfers can now fine tune and enhance the performance of their YES! putter with the company's new custom offering, Tour Lock Opti-Vibe Weighting System. By optimizing the weight of the putter, golfers will have more stability, feel and control of the stroke path.
"The Tour Lock Opti-Vibe is a more effective weight system then just changing the head weight of the putter," said Blair Philip, director of design, YES! Golf. "It affords a custom fitter or an individual the ability optimize the overall dead weight and swing weight of the putter to best suit the individual's feel and performance preferences".
How Tour Lock Opti-Vibe Works:
Internal weights are inserted in the putter shaft and then locked inside the shaft. The overall weight of the putter increases by a factor of the chosen internal weight. The advantage of the Tour Lock Opti-Vibe system is that swing weight can be adjusted by simply moving the weight up or down inside the shaft. This allows an individual to make their putter feel head heavy or head light depending on their preferences. The Center of Gravity of the weights can be positioned very accurately and then locked into position using a patented compression seal.
Internal shaft weights come in 50 grams, 100 grams, and 150 grams. Tour Lock butt-end weights are available in 12 grams, 40 grams, 60 grams and 80 grams. YES! Golf uses Winn AVS Tour Lock Ready grips.
Tour Lock Opti-Vibe conforms to USGA and R&A Rules of Golf. To conform to the rules of golf the weight must not be moved during the round of golf. Wherever the weight is positioned at the start of the round is where it must remain in place for the entire round.
Benefits of Tour Lock Opti-Vibe:
1.Increased Forgiveness – by adding mass to the putter, it improves the putter's resistance twisting and deflection, resulting in better accuracy and distance control.
2.Enhanced Stability – by adding weight in locations which enhance stability, the putter will swing on a more predictable path.
3.Enhanced Feel Control – by manipulating the internal weight position it is easier to optimize the total weight and balance point of the putter resulting in better overall control.
