Phil Mickelson show us how to play the 50 yard pitch shot

The key to this shot is acceleration through the shot. Most teachers will say that the backswing and the follow throught should be the same distance back and through but Phil disagrees. He takes his normal sixty degree wedge and illustrations that the back swing should be a little shorter than the follow through to give aggressive acceleration. If you are taking the club back too far will cause deceleration and you will have no chance to be consistent.

Watch Phil Mickelson show you how to properly hit a 50 yard shot close to the hole.
