At the Northern Trust Invitational, held at Liberty National in Jersey City, New Jersey, Tony Finau had four impressive rounds of 67-64-68-65, including a final back nine surge of -5, to finish at -20. Tony came out on top after the first playoff hole against Cameron Smith. This was his second professional win, and his first win in five years! Tony now leads the FedEx Cup standings, and he probably secured his place on the Ryder Cup team.
Also, the Champions Tour hosted the Boeing Classic this past weekend at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge in Snoqualmie, WA. Rod Pampling started the final round four shots behind the leader, then shot -6, 66 to end up at -12, for a one shot win. This is Rod’s first win on the Champions Tour.
Finally, congratulations to Chad Ramey and Hayden Buckley for their performance at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Albertsons Boise Open, which was held at Hillcrest Country Club Inc in Boise, Idaho. Both Mississippi natives and long-time Putting Arc users finished at -16 to place in the top 5.
